Ecobee loses connection to Alexa/ Amazon very often

They came back with off you google Nest and WiFi issues you will find plenty of cases where they have connection issues as well

it did lose its internet connection a few times, but last time I took it off the wall to cut its power and put it back on, worked ever since.

My second attempt resulted in a successful connection.

The app is a little in the slow side and sometimes looses connection

It has only lost connection once in the time I've had it, which is a better rate than many of my other wifi connected devices

The reason for the 4 star vs 5 star review has to do with the the fact that this does not support bluetooth connections.

The one downfall would be that it took some router manipulation to set the unit to a static IP and ensure Alexa had consistent connection to stream any music

Google Ecobee4 loses WIFI connection.

The thermostat saw our Wi-Fi network immediately and had no trouble connecting and its connection to Alexa was smooth

(e.g. I had to learn not to use the HUM connection on my furnace because it's only charged when blowing heat) but my Aprilaire 700M and Ecobee4 now work PERFECTLY together!

If the house is a little stale at 72 and I want to bump the a/c down to 71, I shouldn't realize a few minutes later that the house is at 68 and I have been running the a/c the entire time

but it works 100% of the time for me with Siri, but most of the time Alexa won’t/can’t acknowledge that I even have an ecobee device connected let alone control it

Please keep in mind that the product is great out of the package, and I actually like the features better than other smart t-stats I’ve seen
