Headset worked "okay" for about 3 weeks, then suddenlynjust stopped working all together

This headset is built nice and fits comfortable but the mic is terrible and causes echo constantly or static when in party play

He said there is no crackling like with his previous headset due to the port (of past set) being L shaped and would twist causing crackling sound.
