It definitely won't compete with an acoustic drummer (which is why my gearhead dad recommended the next size up, despite not having a drummer) but it can get pretty loud; at least loud enough to keep up with my guitarist, playing acoustic or electric

In a very quiet room, it does have a slight hum, but I'm starting to think it's either my bass (which probably could do with a jack replacement) or my cable (which is admittedly cheap and soon to be replaced)
