It is a reasonable set of general purpose speakers and a reasonable amp

You don't get the deep bass with speakers this small, but I got what I paid for which is a decent sounding set of amplified speakers which I wanted for watching movies

If you're someone looking to get a nice set of speakers for around this price point, these are great

Just got these along with Amazon Dot, very nice set, the cable you need for the Dot to the speakers is included with the speakers, nice having a remote for volume control along with voice control from the Dot...listening to Pandora right now and these small speakers sound great...for what you pay for this setup its a no brainer, I have the original Echo, the sound which isn't the greatest, but for less money get these speakers and the Dot best of both worlds!

#2 advice ,try to use a software equalizer or better an Stereo A/V receiver with equalizer ,so that you can tweak the sound.. if you PC came with free software equalizers ,that usually comes with your PC free CD drivers and programming , i liked more the Rock setting ,, for the speakers.

I use the second set of RCA inputs on the speakers with a Chromecast Audio, so that it works seamlessly with my other gear
