Gotta love the "Tone Wicker", really gives the Big Muff a unique sound
The wicker is great when you roll back the tone, but it tends to make the pedal noisier
Not sure if I will actually like the "tone wicker", in fact I leave both off, but maybe someday I will find a good use for the tone and wicker switches
Leaving the tone on and the wicker off leaves you with the original big puff pi pedal, so no worries if the wicker isn't really your thing
However, other than that, if you're looking for an all-out fuzz assault with plenty of tonal options from a gentle snarl to total sludge-metal obliteration for a reasonable price, this is your box
Not only is it a pretty decent price, but you can get some great Smashing Pumpkin-esque sounds out of it with the wicker switch off
Anyways, I give it 5 stars because it's still an insanely good pedal at an amazing price.
It can even evoke some of the sounds from vintage Muffs, and the price is right.

If you didn't like muffs before, you'll probably like the wicker feature, it makes it far more clear and pronounced and less of a glob a goo and more distortion/ fuzz friendly.
The wicker is a nice feature, I don't really use it too much, but it could easily be switched on when used as a "soloing" pedal... to really have the high ends cut through the other guys
the tone and wicker switches are nice features

In this mode, the distortion applies to the entire tonal spectrum evenly, and it also produces a significant volume boost.
I do like the tone switch, it takes the pedal to a totally different place from the regular tone, more like distortion and a nice boost on the volume level

The Big Muff has a unique place among pedals in that it just defies a category.
I would probably get the classic big muff pi next time, because the switches add too much noise with not enough benefit
The pedal incorporates two of the (supposedly) most popular Big Muff mods with switches, Tone and Wicker.
My kid loves his Big Muff, one of the great icons of fuzz pedals
I think this pedal has a better fuzz tone than the current standard Big Muff Pi
You can really pull a lot of unique fuzz out of this with the tone wicker to compliment any tone
This is my first guitar pedal, though I might not be able to give comparisons, I can say that this pedal has a great tone
For this pedal, I'm still working to find the "right" tone for me
Turning off the tone knob and turning on the wicker unleashes some crazy tones that I am still in the process of exploring, but note that they are epic
When Wicker is switched on, it removes three high-frequency rolloff filters that were added to the original Big Muff circuit to smooth out the sound.
Caution: if you're looking for a more vintage, 60's-style fuzz, this one might have too much oomph and not enough rasp, however you can roll off the guitar's volume knob to clean up the sound and you can get pretty close
now i switch to my fuzzy, distorted sound
Overall I would recommend - heavy duty construction, great sound.
Disconnecting these makes the sound a bit raspier and rougher, with a high-end frequency boost
