  • Tap tempo using either the soft-press bypass switch or an external switch (not included)- "Tap Divide" button for use with tap tempo; LED corresponds to division (red = quarter notes, orange = dotted eight; green = eight notes)- Internal "tails" switch to choose whether echoes continue after the pedal is switched off- Secondary control options to edit additional parameters on most delay
  • The switch is very easy to activate and the led is bright enough for an afternoon gig outdoors.

Reviews around option (5.00 of 5)

  • However, it is a nice option to have in a pinch I guess.
  • Love the tape loop mode, and standard delays, with fantastic clarity, and super long delay options
  • I also think it's a very intriguing option for building a small direct board for recording or live play into a PA - placing the Canyon after an amp-in-a-box pedal and maybe a drive pedal before that would be an extremely compact and versatile setting for recording or "going direct".

Reviews around canyon (5.00 of 5)

  • But the Canyon appealed to me as hobbyist because of its sheer versatility.
  • But then EHX released the Canyon, and while I still prefer the TC Electronic Flashback for a few specific purposes (dotted eight control, for example), the Canyon really goes to another level of functionality at basically the same price point.

Reviews around value (5.00 of 5)

  • For that reason, even thought the Canyon retails at $140, it's pretty tough to imagine a better value for a novice/bedroom guitarist in a single pedal
  • It isn't the only great delay pedal on the market right now, but the added level of features make it one of the better values in effects

Reviews around entry level (5.00 of 5)

  • For example, the 62-second looper is a decent enough entry-level looper, but you can't use the looper and play with any other effects (no delay, reverb, etc.).

  • Beautiful tones throughout, with tons of sonic options
  • Especially the shimmer effect on non-distortion/clean tones

  • The shimmer is amazing, and it is built like a tank, I love electro harmonix pedals and they are very creative and durable

  • It's also very light weight and the color scheme of the graphics is pretty cool.

Reviews around thing (3.44 of 5)

  • The only thing I can think that might be a down side is the lack of stereo, but that can be fixed
  • My only qualm, and it’s a personal thing – not worth knocking a star off – is that the writing on the pedals is so small (by necessity), and these old eyes of mine (fifty
  • This thing is pretty neat, I've got it hooked up to my Microbrute at the moment and its certainly proving hard to tame, but not in a bad way

Reviews around looper (3.04 of 5)

  • Beside being a capable looper and a versatile delay, the Canyon comes with a load of other little perks
  • You get the normal delay functions you'd expect plus a basic looper
  • The Canyon isn't the best reverb pedal on the market or the best looper, and some of the various delay modes may not be your favorite compared to BOSS, TC Electronic, or the boutique pedal of your choice.
  • This delay sounds fantastic, but the delay/looper combo made getting the Canyon a very easy choice.
  • The looper is an added bonus because it saved me some money and space on the pedal board.

Reviews around tape delay (1.44 of 5)

  • For reference, here's a quick and almost certainly incomplete list of some of the key features offered by the Canyon:- At least 9 different delay "modes", including digital echo, modulated, Deluxe Memory Man, Shimmer, Tape Delay, Octave, and Reverse
  • For example, the Tape Delay mode sounds more-or-less like any other analog delay using standard controls, but the additional secondary controls allow you to add distortion or modulated flutter for some truly unique sounds
  • I play an acoustic electric ukulele and I do alot of original ukulele compositions, and I bought it just for the shimmer effect and the tape delay
  • The tape delay gives me an old school Sun Records rockabilly tone, it is great
  • Covers the basics extremely well with very good sounding analog and tape delays, as well as a EHX Deluxe Memory Man replicator, as well as a lot of features, while not necessarily useful, are fun to play with

More about Electro-Harmonix Canyon Delay and Looper Pedal

  • Electro-Harmonix Canyon Delay and Looper Pedal  The EHX Canyon Delay/Looper is much more than meets the eye
  • Onboard you'll find ten time-based effects, such as a Deluxe Memory Man-style analog delay, a reverb with plenty of control for matching your needs, a 62-second looper, and much more
  • And they can all be controlled with onboard tap tempo
  • The four control knobs are FX Level, Delay, Feedback, and the effect selector, and like many other pedals from EHX, the Canyon packs a lot of extra tweakability and tones under the hood
  • Powerful delay pedal At its heart, the EHX Canyon is an incredibly deep delay pedal for its diminutive size
  • With a twist of the selector knob, you can choose from eight different delay voicings, including modulated delay, tape-like delay, and even a Shimmer setting
  • The Tap/Divide button determines the rhythmic subdivisions you'll access by tapping out the tempo
  • And holding it down changes the function of the control knobs for deep editing parameters such as the repeated signal's modulation, tape age, and more
  • Onboard 62-second looper The looping effect onboard the Canyon pedal is plenty for practice, songwriting, and even live performance
  • Simply pull up the loop function and step on the footswitch to start, stop, overdub, and erase your loops
  • And you can get up to 62 seconds of loop length, which is a ton of time for such a multi-faceted effects device
  • Reverb and more Electro-Harmonix didn't stop with delay and a looper
  • They also crammed a great-sounding reverb into the unit
  • The reverb can be tailored to offer a great hall, room, and spring sound
  • And adding in a quick delay with low repeats instantly calls to mind the slap-back tones of the 1950s
  • The reverb on the Canyon sounds so good, it would be well worth the price of admission on its own.
