I am learning to live with this clock, but the blue light is the devil for a dark-room sleeper

The projected display is visible when the room is dark.

The light at any dimmer level does not brighten the room to any extent for those who need it very dark to sleep

A dark unlit room, or night time, the projected time display works well, and is readable, particularly if you tweak the lens focus

Being able to adjust the brightness of the clock assures it's not a problem in a dark room and the a.m. reception is excellent

Also if you like a very dark room at night you should get the red display, not the blue

The red projection doesn't give off any illumination which keeps the room nice and dark

Projection is perfect and you can turn off the front blue led time to keep your room super dark

If you like your room totally blacked out at night, this is not the clock for you.

Love the feature that lets you turn down/off the front display..keeps the room quite dark.

However, a tiny blue light turns on at that point, which is still too bright since I want a completely dark room at night.

Four stars because it is difficult to push any buttons without moving the clock around and then you have wait for a dark room to make sure the projected time is properly aligned.

Even on the lowest setting, the numbers are still a little too bright in a completely dark room, but you do have the option of turning them off completely without disrupting the alarm.

Sun lit room, well lit room, or even dimly lit room, projecting about 9.5 feet onto a wall, almost invisible in a sun lit room or well lit room, slightly better in a dimly lit (only light from a 40 watt bulb heavily shaded) room but not easily readable.

In a totally dark room, it feels like laser beams being pointed at your eyes.

They are hard to focus on in the dark, they mess with circadian rhythms, and even at their dimmest they are too bright in a completely dark room

You can adjust the brightness of the display although the dimmest setting is still pretty bright in a dark room, but there is an option to turn off the time display except for a tiny dot of light

And the display can be dimmed (or if you like me and like a completely dark room) can be turned off.

We set the alarm M-F and don't have to worry about it going off on the weekends

You can set one alarm, or both alarms, for a single day, M-F, weekends only or all seven days of the week

Does not take up a lot of room - Brightness controls - Ceiling projection - M-F alarm - LOVE IT!

I especially like that you can set it to alarm M-F only and not have to do anything to keep it from ringing on the weekends.

But since I work a normal M-F job, and it has dual alarms, it's not something I have to mess with much
