The clock has one or two nice features but zero common sense in it's design.

The alarm also has a feature where these lights on top will start to brighten 30 minutes before your alarm goes off, you can program it not to do so by choosing L00 when you are setting the alarm

The bright light is a nice feature and one of the reasons I purchased this product however because it's motion sensored it comes on all of the time (the wind blew my drapes over it and it turned on) other than that, this clock is great in look and functionality

The one very nice feature the clock does have is that the two pail white imitation bells on the top are actually night lights that turn on and off by simply passing your hand over the top of the clock.
