While the description tries to indicate that the light from the clock is in some way bright and/or sufficient to wake someone one, it's really more like a tiny night light above the clock.

The lights would flicker on and off throughout the night, and there was no motion going on around the clock

Seller company talked with the engineer, found a setting that would disable the 30 minute light prior to alarm

The lights are too bright

I love the design, but the light is annoying and starts at random times, the alarm can go off, or no, depend on the clock mood

It is also nice that you can set the brightness at different levels so it isn't a glaring light on the headboard at night
