It is good to keep things warm like teapot or coffee pot but it doesnot provide enough high heat for actually cooking a meat or stuff like that

This is a very solid unit and is small enough to have on the table for keeping things warm or lightly boiling if you want to have your soup hot.

Definitely don't count on to do much cooking with and the entire thing gets too hot to touch.

It would be good if you had a buffet set up and wanted to keep things warm but for cooking... not so much.

And I pretty like it, especially to use it to keep things warm

This small plate has done a wonderful job to simmer even larger pot up to 12 guarts and keep the cooking Oder away from inside the house.

The surface of the hot plate has a good grip to hold a pan or a pot and the hot surface does a great job of uniformly transferring the heat to a pan or a pot.

Perfect for multi sized pots and pans, boils water fast and is super easy to clean

It just struggled to bring a decent sized pot of water to a boil.

It's the right size, no where for food to get into so clean-up is very easy.

Works well. heats up quickly, good variable heat control, cleans easily; sturdy construction, nice appearance.

It is also heats well for perfect for a Bialetti Moka pot, again, medium heat only at most !

Now it completely died after infrequent use , no heat at all.
