The entire unit continued to heat up to a point where I could not touch any part of it without having burned my hands

I found out the hard way and touch it to move it and burned my hand

It won't even get hot enough to burn your hand

It gets hot enough to burn your hands on the outside of the plate but the plate itself on MAX will not boil water even after 45 min on the plate.

This product's design makes the part that heats up the food very hard to clean as it gets greasy/oily very easily for some reason
