As an artist, I like this product, it dries more as a tint than a full color so things underneath are still visible.

You can use Elmer’s Magic solution, (kind of expensive), for stickier, “gooier”, slime or just use contact solution and baking soda for the more pliable type

This Elmer's Glitter Glue is exactly what I was looking for to make the Elmer's Glitter Slime with four 6th grade boys.
