Came with dead internal battery and I could not get the screw out to replace the battery.

Battery was dead on arrival .

One had a dead battery and was unable to set or store the time automatically.

I think it may have a defective battery

So disappointed that this came with a dead backup battery.

So either the battery that came with the radio is of poor quality or the battery condition sensor in the clock is not working properly

As others have recently posted, as soon as the unit was plugged in, the weak battery light started flashing and the time did not automatically set.

Also, the weak battery light on the clock has been on since the first time I plugged the clock into the ac outlet.

The back-up battery was dead on arrival, but easily replaced, since I happened to have one on hand

Functions work as they should, display is good with 4 brightness settings
