Emerson CKS1800 SmartSet Alarm Clock Radio with AM/FM Radio, Dimmer, Sleep Timer and .9" LED Display, CKS1800

    • This clock is always 1-2 minutes slow compared to my Emerson Smart Set CKS1708clock, my LaCrosse atomic weather station/clock and my decade old Casio MTG-900 atomic watch.
    • It's compact, the numbers can be dimmed if that bothers you (however, even on the brighter setting, they are hard to make out in the daylight), there are two alarms and you can choose between radio or buzzer wake-up
    • The lighted numbers could not be seen during the day even on the brightest setting
    • On brightest setting, cannot see during daytime.
    • Even at the brightest setting the digits are difficult to read
    • I like the smart set, and look, but the face is very hard to read
    • I like the dual alarm setting.
    • Even on the brightest setting
    • I like my new Smart set Clock/Radio
    • The dimmest light setting is much to bright
    • The "Bright" setting is dim and the "Low" setting is very dim
    • There are two brightness settings on it, which was stated in the description, but they are dim and dimmer… and the brightest setting is so low you can barely see it from about 10-feet away
    • Love the auto alarm arming setting
    • and it was on the brightest setting - in fact, it dims even more.
    • The lowest setting on that one is even brighter then this smartset clock , so my point is that I do have something to compare it
    • I was worried that the light would be too bright but the high setting is fairly dim and the low setting is quite dim which is what I like
    • it may be called the smart set alarm but was anything but, could not see readout unless it was a foot from you
    • The display brightness is so dull even at the brightest setting, you literally has to squint to see the time even from couple feet away.
    • However, when you set it to go off as an alarm, it defaults back to the loudest setting and goes off guns-a-blazin' the next morning.
    • I use it in the brightest setting and is no bother at
    • The "Bright" setting is dim and the "Low" setting is very dim
    • Works fine, but the numbers are very dim even on the brightest setting
    • I had bought Emerson smart set years ago and it worke just fine
    • I was worried that the light would be too bright but the high setting is fairly dim and the low setting is quite dim which is what I like
    • Pleased with easy set-up, and the nice *DIM* green display.
    • More problematic, the display is too dim for any daytime use, even on the brighter setting
    • As previous reviewers have said, the brightest setting is very dim
    • It is so dim, I have to walk right up to it to see the time, and that's with it set on the brightest setting
    • I bought the version with the green numbers and returned it because, even on the brightest setting, it was too dim to read during the day and barely readable at night.
    • As I am pleased with the Emerson Smart-Set Alarm Clock, I am sometimes displeased to have to wake up so early!
    • As soon as you plug it in the smart set ....sets your clock
    • and then when I set it to the lowest setting well your not going to see it unless you are right in front of the
    • The setting should be silent.
    • The "Bright" setting would be adequate if it were actually the low setting; the "Bright" setting needs to be at least twice as bright as it is for it to be what you would normally expect
    • I have an Emerson smart set clock [of a different model] in my bedroom that I love
    • Great value & performance, sets time automatically, DST or regular time, easy to read screen, simple & no confusung instructions
    • As I am pleased with the Emerson Smart-Set Alarm Clock, I am sometimes displeased to have to wake up so early!
    • As previous reviewers have said, the brightest setting is very dim
    • excellent shipping e perience.
