I changed to this charcoal filter, and it improved the cleanliness of all air ventilated, however it didn't remedy the smudged windshield totally, so deducting 1 star.

I subtracted one star due to the lack of surface area.

2-26-18 Update: I knocked off another 2 stars off my initial star count of 4 stars, because the material is too thick and doesn't allow the air to go through the grooves in the material

These cabin filters are as good as or better than majority of name brand competitors

Twice as cheap as in my local car parts store

Since cabin-air filters are basically symmetrical (with flutes on both sides), it can be confusing as to the orientation of the filter.

Works fine for Subaru Outback 3.6 R 2015
