When it comes to office machinery I prefer function over form

Hopefully the supersized ink tans will convert into super sized savings

It's not as fast as the office laserjet, nor are the photos as brilliant as you'd expect from a $2K printer, but this is right sized/priced for home use.

Because the next step in the process is to connect your Mac to the 2700 with a USB cable, which hopefully you have handy

It's easy to set up, pretty much plug and play on my Mac OS X. Feature wireless connectivity as well as USB, but this particular model does not have ethernet capability

The printer can only connect to a network that supports 2.4 GHz connections

Finally went with Wi-Fi Direct connection and it works.

It does scan and copy as well as print, and those functions work well.

The complete 180 page owners manual can be downloaded from the Epson website providing detailed instructions on all the hardware and software options.-PRINT QUALITY-The print quality of this unit is quite good for an all-in-one in this price range - photos and graphic images printed at the highest quality settings are as good as prints from other home office printers I have owned

With that said, the 2700 prints well both in color and black and white

I have had printers in the past that made great prints but the cost of inks nearly broke the bank

But I must admit I did miss color printing and photos but really couldn't justify the cost

The software that comes with the printer is easy to use and has many cool features

So glad Epson fixed that problem!The Epson ET-2700 is an entry level model lacking such features as an Auto Document Feeder, duplex printing, and a color LCD screen

It is not a printer that I would get again, it's too basic in design and not enough features.

If your router offers both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz connections, make sure 2.4 GHz is enabled.-SOFTWARE-Epson's print and scan utilities have a comprehensive feature set and are fairly intuitive to use for most functions without needing the owners manual

That's not necessarily a bad thing, and it is an excellent printer/scanner that will definitely save you money on ink in the long haul, but in the here-and-now you'll probably want to consider bumping up to an ET-2750 or higher to get those features like automatic two-sided printing, more in-depth controls and interface, and a memory card slot

Frustrated with the high price of ink, I replaced my office ink jets with a few inexpensive laser printers

The bottles are designed well and you won't be able to put the wrong colored ink in the wrong tank

The tank-in-front feature also has the benefit of showing you exactly how much ink is left in each tank

Great copier for color done economically- will do multiple copies off computer, nor sure when copying more than 1 at a time off the glass- great machine...

My best amazon purchase in a while...very nice machine

Epsom recommends, I find the quality to be the worse of any of the printers I have ever owned.

If you are serious about fast, great quality, move along

Poor printing quality, poor wireless setup, cannot get the damn thing to communicate with any of my phones, pads, laptops.

Scan quality is very good for most home and office tasks, but don't confuse this with a high resolution dedicated photo scanner
