  • I recommend it to anyone who has had good results with Epson printers in the past.
  • The high end Epson papers like Traditional Photo Paper, Signature Worthy, Premium Luster, Premium Glossy are giving me really superb results
  • I have both Epson and generic photo quality papers, and both are producing great results.
  • After printing others the results were consistently great.
  • If my previous experience with an Epson wide format printer plays out the same way with this P800, I should be looking forward to years of great results that I will happily share with family and friends and colleagues.

  • ’s superb print quality, especially with B&W photos, and its economical ink cartridges
  • Printing quality overall is very good and also with 80 ml of ink more economical than the less expensive Epson printers.
  • I did not buy this to improve the quality of my photographic prints, but it has done so dramatically.
  • is the art of perfection, incredible quality and detail,i love it.
  • Amazing quality, relatively small footprint for the size you can print.

Reviews around art (5.00 of 5)

  • My principle complaint with the 3800 and 3880 was printing fine art paper in the rear feed.
  • I'm a photographer who wants to sell fine art prints of my photography, and I bought this printer about six weeks ago.
  • I print mostly for my own use, as well as from time to time for some non-profits that I do volunteer work for, so I am a non-professional user.
  • I bought this printer because I wanted to make fine art prints of my
  • From metallic to glossy to thick fine art papers the printer hasn't flinched

  • I print mostly for my own use, as well as from time to time for some non-profits that I do volunteer work for, so I am a non-professional user.
  • Beautiful images right out of the box without even using Color Sync
  • But of course the better your original image, the better the final print.
  • With a great image the detail and color just have to be seen to be appreciated.

Reviews around cartridge (5.00 of 5)

  • The folks complaining about 'finite life' issues with their Epson printers do not have a replaceable ink maintenance cartridge in those printers.
  • I own a 3880 and have a spare cartridge ready to go when the one that came with the printer fills up
  • I print mostly for my own use, as well as from time to time for some non-profits that I do volunteer work for, so I am a non-professional user.
  • ’s superb print quality, especially with B&W photos, and its economical ink cartridges
  • As far as I know, all the pro-series printers (and that includes the 3880 and the P800) have a replaceable cartridge which can easily be replaced by the user when prompted.

Reviews around work (5.00 of 5)

  • I'm happy to say that B&W prints from the Epson P800 are every bit as good as the best wet dark room work
  • I really like Breathing Color canvas and it is easier to find rolls in stock, and it seemed like a more convenient way to work.
  • The borderless printing works very well on it, and I have done dozens of smaller prints that way (4"x6" and 5"x7").As with any of the other Epson printers you need to be very conscious of the type of paper you are printing on (Matte vs Glossy/Luster) and which paper you have selected in the printers preferences

Reviews around price (5.00 of 5)

  • Best price I could find at the time.
  • While the price of the P800 will likely make this printer appeal to a much wider audience than the higher end Epson printers it is definitely still a professional grade printer
  • But what a headache, and at a great price.

Reviews around p800 (5.00 of 5)

  • I’ve gotten excellent color and B&W prints with both printers and wouldn’t have bought the P800 if my 3880 still worked
  • I highly recommend the P800

Reviews around premium luster (5.00 of 5)

  • The high end Epson papers like Traditional Photo Paper, Signature Worthy, Premium Luster, Premium Glossy are giving me really superb results
  • The extended D-Max and gamma reach are quite apparent in side-by-side prints using both Premium Luster and Hot Press Natural
  • I suspect the large 100' roll of Premium Luster I have been using is also making it easier for me to print more than I might have otherwise ;-)For roll

  • So I now just let the printer manage color since that also simplifies using the Advanced B&W Photo
  • Expensive, costly to operate yes, but exceptional color and B&W prints for sure
  • I’ve gotten excellent color and B&W prints with both printers and wouldn’t have bought the P800 if my 3880 still worked
  • While the printer has gorgeous colors, it leaves black ink smudges on the edges of Exhibition Fiber paper, even when the paper is front loaded and the platen gap is set to wide
  • Expensive, costly to operate yes, but exceptional color and B&W prints for sure

  • So I now just let the printer manage color since that also simplifies using the Advanced B&W Photo
  • I find I am now grading my photos in terms of the size I am willing to print them with - and studying them much more closely to see what I can learn to improve future photos
  • The printer will automatically switch either the Photo Black or Matte Black ink depending on the selected paper profile

Reviews around printer (2.96 of 5)

  • The printer is easy to set up, but I paid extra for installation anyway
  • The front manual feed can be a little finicky at times, but no more so than any other fine art inkjet printer I've used before
  • It gives a feeling of confidence that the printer is ready to be used a lot.
  • The printer couldn't be registered and also didn't qualify for the $350 Epson rebate.
  • Although a 17” printer is overkill for the size prints I make, I bought the P800 for

Reviews around epson (1.95 of 5)

  • I have noticed some concerns in some of the other reviews with earlier Epson printers and ink clogging, so I was watching closely to see if that might happen with this printer as well.
  • I purchased the optional roll paper adapter, and a roll of 17"x100' Epson fine art matte paper which has a shelf life of over 100 years!
  • I had to send this printer back because Epson would not warranty the serial number--not for sale in the US.
  • Kudos to Amazon, as usual, immediately set up a replacement and I will call Epson regarding the new unit, when it arrives
  • I purchased a SureColor P800 and when it arrived, I chatted with an Epson Customer Support person who informed me that the unit was a gray market product

Reviews around warranty (1.80 of 5)

  • Called Epson to check the serial number to be sure this printer was authorized for sale in the United States and covered by Epson's warranty because I was burned by this on a prior order with another seller
  • Thus, no warranty and this unit would not qualify for the rebate
  • Called Epson when it arrived and was told the warranty on this machine had expired and was not eligible for their 1 year service warranty
  • I print mostly for my own use, as well as from time to time for some non-profits that I do volunteer work for, so I am a non-professional user.
  • After contacting Epson P800 support and dealing with several people I was finally informed that the unit had a hardware issue but the serial number on my printer was not suppose to be sold in the US so Epson would not honor the warranty.
