When I did a search for that model the Epson DS6500 showed as the newer version and it's just a great as it's Papa
The OCR software that comes with it works well enough so that I was able to scan all my old papers, financial statements etc... and essentially clean out our file cabinets

Worse, most of Epson's Macintosh specific tech support doesn't even know about the omission; when I called them, I wasted several hours of time while Epson tech support had me uninstall and install their software multiple times, when they should have known searchable PDF's are not supported on the Mac.(they could have supported this function if they wished.
