This detector does a great job at filtering these alerts out and the GPS feature automatically mutes false alerts after you have passed the location a few times or you can mark the alert so that it doesn't alert you (it still ghosts on the display in gray but does not sound)

Lots of false k band alerts even using it along side with the app

It will beep telling me of a false alert that has been stored and it will appear on the display as grayed out and make no noise (like I am guessing it should)

When you are on the interstate it will trigger almost once a minute with false Kband alerts.

I keep getting lots of false K band alert saying its from the otherside of the highway

The gps makes false alerts a thing of the past

I can only silence it, it will not store the false Ka alert , whereas K and X bands are easily locked out

Even with the latest firmware (1/12/16) this has NOT been totally resolved yet, even with the Arm chip and the upgraded DSP, I still receive many false K alerts, but the speed in which the Max 360 processes and eliminates the false signals has been improved significantly when compared to the 9500ix, and just somewhat over the Passport Max and the Max 2

Using it in town, GPS lockouts worked, and after the 3rd identical alert in the same GPS location the 360 did what it was supposed to do and locked out the false alert

What good is a radar detector if it falsely keeps going off so much that you just ignore all its alerts?!?

After using it for about a week, I now get next to none false alerts.

My 9500ix was dated and couldn't keep up with false alerts that were caused by Collision Avoidance Systems on many newer vehicles.

Excellent radar detector .. filters false alerts extremely well compared to others .. has great range protection .. the locating arrows are very helpful to bring the awareness of the threat ahead .. would definitely recommend .. pairs with phone well

At times it will lock up with a signal displayed but will not alert to future signals, and/or it will lock up while scanning with NO warning to the owner of the unit that it is not displaying threats until you happen to drive by an area where you know there are K-band false alerts

With GPS lockout it does eliminate a lot of false alerts but the K band segmentation on the Redline eliminates a good number as well where the 360 is going off so that's a wash

Audio alert to short and screen not easy to read in sunlight especially with sunglasses even at full bright setting.

Also the BSM or we should say anti-false alert to nanny cars (cars with drivers assist systems) is behind other detectors

Great detection, but I'm still a bit underwhelmed by the number of false alerts, for all radar bands.

Auto took away most of the false alerts in the City

It has so many false laser alerts that I had to disable the laser alert.

Of course there are the multiple hits which were negative but the positive hits where a police car is clearly spotted makes up for the inconveniece of the false alerts

Always trust in the radar its better to slow down for a false alert than to get a speeding ticket, this monster detects things wayy before your eyes could even see them, but that doesn't mean you can drive carelessly, if you are not paying attention to the road and the radar you can get a ticket, so be careful to drive at a speed you can react if needed.

I've also experienced a LOT of false laser alerts, especially due to bright sunlight.

Here in Metro Detroit, I've had the detector give several false red light camera alerts (red light cameras are not legal in Michigan) and speed trap information is a bit too difficult for drivers to register safely -- unless they're using the older Escort Live direct wire kit, which made it possible to report a speed trap by double-tapping a button

The biggest issues so far is it still alerts on Blind Spot Monitoring cars using K band, and I have noticed false alerts on laser which is either all the Christmas lights this time of year or a voltage issue in my car (both discussed on escorts message board).

I chose this model due to its supposed ability to learn and remember false alerts.

A typical false alert is on K band where a quick chirp, a single bar shows then in 2 or 3 seconds it disappears and goes back on to scanning mode

The only thing it didn't do is eliminate false alerts which doesn't matter, because on my route I know which ones are false anyways

I wish the Uniden R3 had the arrows, but given that it rarely if ever false alerts it is a no brainer on which detector to get, especially since the Uniden is a lot less expensive

If you want the best range then the Redline is superior, if you want near the best range (slightly less than the Redline but get directional info) then go with the V1 (although more false alerts should

So all in all, this unit wasn't really helpful at all, just got annoyed with all the useless alerts even with the filters turned on, poor range on cop detection and an app that hardly works

Many grocery stores automatic doors use K band frequency, so you will get many of those false alerts

I have received timely and stunning alerts about enforcement activities in areas into which I am traveling

Some issues that I figured out: turn off alerts on phone to have it stop sending an alert to iphone every time it sees Ka band, turn off another alert on radar detector to stop telling me about red light cameras while I am driving on freeway, and numerous other alerts

If you're on a budget, I strongly recommend the 8500 or the 9500ix; the former might subject you to a few more false alerts, though but costs only a third the price of the MAX

It does false alert a few tims on K bands but over time it learns the signal and locks them out

I have had several Escort models over the years, and like the models that came before it, Max 360 delivers high range performance and reduced false alerts with the gps feature

Even with the GPS lockout I find it has more false alerts than the Redline on K band

Highly recommended as long as you can remember to take it out of your vehicle EVERYTIME
