Escort Passport 9500iX - Long Range, Fewer False Alerts, National Coverage, GPS Capable, Ticket Protection

    • This model was released about 10 years ago (and yes, I purchased one too some time after its release) and is already outdated in terms of everything, including detection range and filtering out K-band "false positive" signals from "collision mitigation"/"blind spot monitor" systems which are being used on most newer cars (including commercial trucks)
    • I bought two different brands to see how they work and this one is junk, does not pick up laser at all even though it says it will, got three tickets in three weeks due to no laser detection, but will tell you every car that has blind spot monitors
    • everIt has a very good long-range radar detection and stores fake spots and eliminates false alarms
    • But I do receive TONS and TONS of false positives from every new vehicle with blind-spot detection, lane assist, from urban sources (auto-doors - yes, I know the difference between highway and city modes).
    • Only issues with any radar detector these days are, false alarms from Cadillac and Acura blind spot radar systems.
    • It learns false spots which is a great feature, and it also has all the red light cameras built in as well
    • Not sure of what was causing it I deactivated any parking sensors and blind spot monitoring my new vehicle had thinking that would solve the issue
    • It's my 2nd Rader Detector and the silence it provides skipping false alarms and the extra time it gives you to slow down before a police cruiser is spotted is worth the extra cost.
