Detection is fantastic but it detect every radar out there in range that is not cop related

The Valentine 1 has significantly better laser detection, and the Redline has sat quite through quite a few laser passes

There were only two positive detections out of the 16 encounters, or 12.5% success rate

I saw many reviews online about the amazing detection range of this unit

I've read a few reviews on here about issues if you live in a big city, but honestly, unless big to you is 10,000 people and no one in your town drives any modern cars with lane, collision, or any of the modern "detection" features, I have no idea what they are talking about

The detection is GREAT but my speaker went south within the first two months...pretty crappy to have this happen on a detector that is NOT inexpensive...even worse is that I've since found out that this problem is NOT at all unusual!

Radar detection on K and KA band is great and laser detection does work but am not sure how effective it be if you are caught really speeding as it would not give enough time to change the speed.

If you are willing to tolerate k junk from cars BSMs and are looking for superior long distance detections

you are getting pulled over so rear detection is important.

33.8 detections have been outstanding, but with RDR off and segment 2 enabled leaves me open to falses in this range as well

Within a couple of days, the 9500ix had most of the false detections screend and muted for the city driving, which amounted to apx 4 false detections

Has payed for itself although I wish that you could disable the k band detection as it goes off constantly and is annoying

Fantastic detection for highway use

I was impressed with the gps capability of the 9500ix that can use gps location to eliminate false detections

What you need out of a radar detector is excellent Ka, POP, and lesser extent K-band detection.

but I bought redline b/c of it's supposed highway superiority.
