    Escort RedLine 0100025-1 Radar Detector

    • It is more suited to highway driving than congested town cruising as it will get false signals in x band, but it tells you what band is involved
    • I can switch it to auto/no x, and 99% of the false signals are filtered out
    • Works well, but the nuisance is that this unit picks up the new bumper sensors giving a false signal.
    • Does not have to many false signals, but it is very sensitivity to signals around and will pick up anything
    • It's incredibly sensitive, does not have the best filtering, and by itself, it cannot lock out false signals
    • Even if you buy a detector with GPS to lockout false signals you will get false alerts from these new systems
    • I found that not all false radar signals were elemenated however as driving around the city I was always picking up K Band signals near gas stations and supermarkets
    • but as of now have no detector that can filter out these false signals
    • No X band used here in Louisiana except for speed cameras and red light cameras, and both only pick up weak camera signals when it's too late.
    • Ideally, if you are approaching a stationary target you want the signal to progressively get stronger until you are at the target and then slowly and progressively ramp-down as you move away from it
    • and then you would lose the signal because there would be no cars in front of you to catch an instant on signal
    • 9500ix cuts out false signals much better.
    • The MAX can also learn and figure out what signals to ignore and it went off far less often on K and dismissed it much quicker as a bad signal when it was
    • You see a couple of grocery stores around you so you can guess that the two weaker signals are probably just building motion detectors, but that extremely strong X band signal is very suspect
    • I wish it had the false signal cancelling like the other models, but wouldn't trade that feature for the range.

    • "K band".It is either so sensitive that it is virtually useless as a radar detector or it simply does not have the ability to screen out extraneous signals that do not represent real radar
    • My only gripe is that it does not learn the false signals like my previous 9500ci
    • No way to lock out false signals on its own- Speaker is not great
    • Works as
    • It is fantastic in finding X band signals, and it doesn't ignore them as
    • Laser would work as long as you are behind someone and it hits someone else before you get hit to get you maybe a 1 or 2 secs to react and as long as you are not speeding at 90 Miles/hr ina 55 Miles/hr zone.
