    Escort RedLine 0100025-1 Radar Detector

    • In all instances to date I have had more than enough time to glance at my side and rear view mirrors to make sure no cars were in the way, get over one lane, and break gradually.
    • Every time I honk, the alarm goes off
    • After that, it's not like you can drive 90 mph all the time.
    • RDR off the Kade and sweeps only does ace 1 times sweep instead of two sweets before an alert is given giving a much faster response to the driver
    • Gives excellent warning time for speed traps.
    • Radar detection on K and KA band is great and laser detection does work but am not sure how effective it be if you are caught really speeding as it would not give enough time to change the speed.
    • From a use perspective I have always had adequate time to slow down while using this detector but I am not driving ridiculously fast anyway
    • Saved me enough times from getting tickets to pay for itself!
    • I received a "Service" notification every time I powered on the unit and it would not work
    • As long as the office is running constant-on radar, you'll get enough warning time in 98% of cases
    • This detector provides all the protection I need with more than enough time to ensure I am in compliance.
    • Anywhere from 3 (around bends, curves) to 10+ seconds (straight away) of lead-time
    • Some times i do not like it because of that
    • Enough time to check my speed generally
    • The few real alerts received were not enough time to have helped us much
    • In less than a month it's saved me a good 10 times already.
    • The range is tremendous, it is built like a brick (has fallen off my windshield multiple times when the suctions failed; mine is hard-wired to top left where A-pillar meets roof) and eliminates the GPS nonsense (which in turn amplifies the range of detection)
    • Since writing this review, users are now able to segment bands and turn the RDR off, which means the unit has much faster reaction times than in 2011 when this review was composed
    • In a recent drive of about 150 miles on Interstate it alarmed about 60 times
    • There was always ample time to check my speed after the STi lit up
