I missed my waffle maker from europe (heart shapes!), but now I can be a happy waffle baker again!Works well, after a first cleaning + heating everything worked fine and smoothly, the waffles tasted great (okay, that is part the good recipe ;) ) and it was easy to handle + clean
The waffles are awful, so if you have a trusty waffle recipe stick with that.
All you need now is a good recipe book and a gym membership
Using my favorite recipe for batter, a bit less than 3/4 cup batter is perfect and doesn't overflow as the waffle cooks.
I appreciated the recipe booklet that came with the waffle maker and tried the sweet waffle recipe from it
And the nice compact size of the appliance makes it easy to store.
Because the hearts break away, you get perfectly-sized snackable waffles that work well in lunches or on trips
It makes much thinner waffles of a good size and shape.
We've made 3 batches of waffles and been very satisfied with the features - good texture, nice size, the waffle maker looks nice if you were to have it sitting on your counter top - but it is not too massive and can be easily put inside a cupboard
I am loving this; the waffles cook quickly (as they're nice and thin), no cleanup (waffles pop right out leaving no residue on the cooking plates), all the batters I've tried cooked just as expected, I can have nice crispy waffles or get soft doughy ones based on the batter used, and the waffles are the perfect size
This "chaffle" iron promises to be a delightful addition to our keto kitchen.
I really want to love this waffle iron but the thing gets so dang hot
This iron doesn’t get hot enough so you have to cook the waffles way longer than the timer and flip them over half way through
All you do is blend whole eggs together until smooth, oil (I use ghee, aka butter oil) and heat a standard (not Belgium) waffle iron, sprinkle shredded cheese on the hot waffle iron (you can use mozzarella for a less savory flavor, cheddar for more) pour egg over the cheese, sprinkle another layer of cheese on top of the egg, close the unit, heat 3-4 minutes and voila!
Comming from Norway, I have made MANY waffles on many different irons, both cheap and expensive
This is exactly what i like and this is a very good product i really appreciated
Well made and heavy sleek product even looks nice sitting on counter top.
Needless to say, I won't be repurchasing this product.
Before I purchased it, I wasn't sure if it was ceramic or not, but the front of the instruction manual says "eco-friendly ceramic coating" and other than it is a darker color, it appears just like my other ceramic coated cooking products.
I used this product for the first time today and would not recommend anyone to purchase this product
I read on another website that this waffle maker had a ceramic coating, thus making it free of the toxic nonstick chemicals used on many brands
It's as easy to clean as can be expected.
However, waffles do not crisp up well as with other waffle makers I have used.
I really like this little waffle maker....especially since it is non-stick, made WITHOUT the toxic chemicals
Seems like if the company was serious about offering a product without toxic chemicals that leach into food, they would have already done this research
