I've always been looking for that sound that works well mic'd or with an acoustic band: a nice solid punch with a little bit of roundness to the sound
Excellent punch, deep tone both acoustically and miced (Shure Beta 91A, on a little rubber mat about 6" from batter head- nothing else inside the drum)

Every drummer likes their drums to "feel" right and straight out of the box the EMAD 2 has an amazing feel and response.
But, you get a good vibration, good response, short, powerful
easy to tune, stays in tune, and has great low end response
Awesome sound , once I got it tuned, not much response when trying to tune with tuning lugs loose, but when I tightened it up, it sounded like a canon!

Been playing drums for about 4 years and this head has given my bass drum the best tone I've ever played on
It's a good product has a nice sound not the thump I was looking for but has a good deep tone.
Very nice low tone, warm, resonate (I still put a little towel inside the drum to give it more punch)

What can i say... best product for kick drum dynamics control
The Evans EMAD2 is a great solution for making an inepensive little kick drum sound just as good as the other band's setup (much more expensive kit!).If you're having difficulty finding a nice fat kick sound give this drum head a try!
Can make even a crappy kick sound nice, tight & thumpy.
These heads give your kick a fat sound and I like the option of using different dampening rings.
I am in love with the elegant concept of achieving a good kick sound without stuffing anything inside of it
