The Evans BD Pillow has worked well for me over the past 8 years or so

For my purposes, although the EQ Pad worked as Evans designed it to, in the end I wound up using a small pillow instead to get the "warm thud" sound I wanted

Highly recommended as a very neat, clean effective method for damping your kick-drum resonance to your liking.

Had bad ring in bassdrum bought this pad put it in retuned the drum a bit and it works great sounds great running

Nice muffled sound without the need for stuffing junk in the shell.

When it came to recording, it didn't offer enough muffling to allow the bass drum to catch the punch of my bass drum, so I replaced it with a Serta bed pillow, and that did the job.

This thing works great, I've used a lot of different muffle systems over the years and this one is the best, to me.

The important thing to know is that for it to work as designed, one of the flaps needs to be resting against the inside of the drum head at a fairly steep up-angle, so that it can "bounce" away from the head when it's struck, and then settle back to rest against the head again to dampen the ringing

This thing is useless for me because it does not dampen nearly enough

I liked the head a lot but still needed more dampening, so I decided to try these

I am a bit disappointed this product is not made to fit a bass drum of most common lengths as I prefer it to touch BOTH heads to limit overtone ringing

With a Remo coated/black dot Powerstroke on the batter and a smooth white marching bass head front - no hole - it's pretty spectacular

The fact that it bounces off of the head enough to allow for a not so drowsy thud is perfect.

This pad along with my Evans EMAD2 Clear batter head give my kick such an attack and sound that is perfect for the rock sound that I'm going for.

The pad works fine, but the stickiness on the velcro pads don't stay stuck to the drum.

Needless to say, my old pillow is still inside the drum, and it's worked better than anything I've come across.
