I love this thing, it makes tuning/replacing drum heads 100% less stressful

You still have to methodically go around the drum and tune the lugs in "star order", but the end results are a proper sounding drum ... despite not knowing what i'm doing

Now, on a cheaper quality drum, the lug screws tend to be riddled with burrs and imperfections

And its a solid drum key otherwise

With new heads, remo rings and this key, your drums will sound great!

I use to worry that my drum heads were slightly uneven, but with this torque key I know my drums are absolutely perfect all the way around

Keep your drum clean, especially the tuning rods and lugs

For me, I still fine tune my drums by listening after all the lugs have reached the same tension
