This key is great for all intents and purposes and tunes each lug to the same tightness every time

With that said, as expected from evans, the key is built quite well and seems to be rugged to take some road beating

I prefer this torque key

I recommend this key to all drummers.

I did find the key to operate more smoothly and thus, more accurately, on my high quality toms and snares

And its a solid drum key otherwise

Also, you might still need a regular drumkey for fine tuning - and for the hardware: this key is not supposed to mess around with tom holders and cymbal stands!

Still works as a normal drum key though.- Currently a Percussion Major

If you want to tune each tension rod to the same torque this key is very useful
