Great card, I don't regret my purchase, it'll hold me over until I can upgrade again in the near future.
I splurged to buy this card, easily one of the best gaming purchases I have ever made
This right here, this beautiful masterpiece was the absolute best purchase for my rise to ascension into PCMR.As a great introduction card for it's price range for beginners this product literally taught me one thing
even the Founders edition cooler, supposedly the worst cooler possible does not exceed 74-76 C ([...])
This is by far one of the best purchases I've made in the PC gaming department
Despite the smaller PCB and single fan, this thing never gets hot or throttles due to temps.
If you are like me, with not a lot of capital to go for a GTX 1070 or GTX 1080, then THIS card is definitely the next best thing, and if you don't need to play at 4k resolution or VR mode
The best thing about this card is that it is small and good for small rigs.
If i did have to say one negative thing about it, it would be that it does not come with a backplate
you see how fast that thing went just before it blew up!
Also, the ACX 3.0 keeps my solid +100 core / +400 VRAM Overclock at no more than 62° C stable
nice budget gpu, a little bit noisy though, with my fan curve of course.i use an aggressive fan curve
In the meantime, stop letting your games stall and drop frames, stop running at lower resolutions, stop running with low quality settings; buy this 1060 now and enjoy games as they were meant to be played!
But because of this, the card sounds like a jet engine once you get into the mid-50% speeds on the fan, and the stock fan curve is extremely aggressive, ramping up as high as 70%+ speed when the card is around 70c (when it can easily go up to 80c without any throttling or problems)
I've been able to run games like Metal Gear Solid V, GTAV, Subnautica, and more at 60 FPS with settings close to or at maximum, and not once has it given me issues
The card struggled at times with PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, even with the graphics settings downgraded significantly.
I went from playing Player Unknown Battlegrounds from 720p on Low on a 750ti
it did not come with the DVI-D adapter... totally unusable till I buy one.
With the 720, games like Player Unknown Battlegrounds and CSGo were around 20-45 frames per second (FPS)
In the meantime, stop letting your games stall and drop frames, stop running at lower resolutions, stop running with low quality settings; buy this 1060 now and enjoy games as they were meant to be played!
Update 7-14-17Unfortunately this series of video cards have extreme heat issues.
The worst part about this card is 1080 1070 1060 all have heating issues
In the meantime, stop letting your games stall and drop frames, stop running at lower resolutions, stop running with low quality settings; buy this 1060 now and enjoy games as they were meant to be played!
If you get this card, know that EVGA has updated the BIOS to make the fans spin faster to try and fix the heat issue which negates the value of the ACX 3.0 "quiet" cooling.
Make sure you have a great air flow case or you will have over heating issues.

Be aware, the heat sink of the normal 1060 single fan edition is actually different from the sc edition, sc has better one and only 10 dollars more.
I read on some forums that SC has a much better heat sink
if you want to over clock the card, the non-SC version has a different heat sink.
but I noted that the heat sink looked very solid and had copper cooling pipes on it
My husband had it installed within 30 minutes, including time to disconnect monitors and peripherals, clean dust out of fans, and reconnect monitors and peripherals
EVGA has always been solid in my experience, but this product unfortunately gave me a hard time.
It does have a hard time to recover from VGA after power save mode though.
I tried quite a few times to update and install the drivers for this and it failed every time
This thing runs HOT all the time and has overheated twice while playing rocket league, which lead to a shutdown
It's a very decent card which can maintain steady temperatures provided you do not mind the fan noise
E-sports games like League of Legends (LoL) and
I bought this to upgrade a gaming rig which had two GTX-760s running in SLI, to collapse back down to a single card with less power draw, fan noise, case footprint, etc
Good as a
There is a huge difference in fan noise and amount of heat coming out of the case
When you're not playing games this card even runs so cool that it does not require the fan at all and goes into an "idle" mode where the fan does not spin to reduce noise
it did not come with the DVI-D adapter... totally unusable till I buy one.
I did have to disable hibernation mode in command prompt/cli — kept getting a BSOD after waking from sleep mode
Runs great!Has a semi-passive mode where fan can turn off
