I really hate to leave a bad review for an EVGA product, because EVGA is the best in the computer enthusiast parts industry on customer service

I had to wait another week for it to arrive, but EVGA was great about it and sent one right out

The actual matte black box did have the right EVGA GTX 1070 FTW DT GPU.Now, the card itself seemed physically well built, big and heavy

This is a great card and generally evga has a great reputation

The card is amazing and even after the thermal pad thing happened EVGA was amazing and sent them to me for free, only buying evga cards from now on

When I called newegg they said that EVGA are the ones that would refund me and they refused a refund

It's fast and it's the cheapest EVGA GTX 1070 you can pretty much get

EVGA refuses to awknowledge this problem

That being said EVGA always bring a solid product and the 1070 meets and on some points exceeds my expectations

EVGA will send you the pads free of charge.

EVGA has amazing customer service as well.

I must say that EVGA resolved the problem by adding new cooling pads to the cards

Seems like EVGA and nVidia have taken care of these problems since the last updates - do clean installs on all the software

EVGA is a great

EVGA claims this card is very quiet and efficient, which they accomplish by setting the card's fans to not kick in until the card

After updating the drivers, however, I lost the light functionality, as well as the EVGA logo that normally lights up

Without some sort of consumer protection laws though, EVGA can get away with leaving customers with cards with shoddy solutions to serious design flaws that are capable of severe damage (and not just to the cards).I really hope EVGA will work on redeeming themselves after this

I was shocked to see such impoverished packaging upon unboxing...shame on you!EVGA

My unit overclocks the same amount as my friends EVGA 1080 FTW

So I called EVGA for a refund and they also refused a refund and even had the audacity to lie to me and say that evga cards have no known issue of overheating and catching fire

Did however ship with the missing headlands that Evga had a problem with

Delayed my build, but EVGA was amazing to deal with

My one boosts to 2012Mhz out of the box with no overclocking which is amazing and temps are extremely cool never going above 70C on the normal curve and with the evga custom fan control it has never exceeded

All EVGA 1070s and 1080s using ACX 3.0 cooler have this issue and also need a bios update which the master bios is easily repaired but the slave bios is a bit trickier

Sadly I will be returning this evga 1070 ftw for a full refund.

The GTX 1070 offerings are many, but I chose this particular Card due to the high quality of construction, EVGA Customer Service and Support, and I received a significant and stable overclock out of the box

Just to be clear, I understand that there are bad batches, and I don't blame EVGA for getting two defective cards (however unlikely that is)

The BIGGEST problem with this card that I don't see many people talking about is that EVGA (like many other manufactures) switched from using Samsung memory to Micron memory

I was surprised that a few days ago EVGA admitted that they messed up on the cooling of the VRM thus causing it to overheat and some cards to burn like mine, they offered to ship a free kit of thermal pads to alleviate the issue and I am currently waiting for them.supposedly any card shipping since the beginning of November 2016 will have the fix applied to them

EVGA has already RMA'd the video card, but they refuse to cover the $42 it takes to ship it to them, nor will they do anything about my dead motherboard

RMA 2 swapped the thermal pad and vbios updated card from RMA 1 due to a loud clicking noise that exceeded the noise level of the fans as fast as I've seen them go (about 30-40%)RMA 3, if approved, will be the same as RMA 2 since the new card has an identical, though slightly quieter noise issue

I'm loving it!No complaints as of yet

Amazon is as great as always, still doesn't take back the frustration and time wasted
