The lead holders I've used have been the clutch variety, like the Staedtler Mars 780 or 788, Uni Lead Holder Pencil MH500, Sanford Turquoise 2022, Faber-Castell TK 9400.
I have used lead holders before, mainly for drafting, and lately I've had the desire to go back to that style as a writing utensil.
I prefer the clutch lead holders, mentioned above, for this reason
