Additionally, if the repaired or assembled item gets hot, as is the case for an item stashed in a car on a hot day in the sun, the two layers of the tape will expand at different rates resulting in heaved-up areas of the clear top layer while the black base layer stays mostly where it was applied.
(I do pull off the clear layer of tape on top of the woven plastic, because it does make it easier to layer the tape and harder for the kiddos to pick it off.

The non-rippable characteristic is unfortunate, but there is a nice little snap-knife stuck to the inside of the roll, so that's a cool freebie.

FiberFix 10X tape is an excellent product for use with our motor home

This product works VERY well to seal cardboard boxes, but not so well to repair flexible items because it is stiff and tends to come unstuck fairly quickly.

I would have preferred a much more discrete color.
I like the color and design of the tape, and it is WAY easier to use than the clear Scotch brand tape which is the same size, or duct tape for that matter, which tends to come unstuck in the damp hold of the ship.
Whether in the basement or used in a living area, the color is just unattractive.

The adhesive is useless & the tape is too stiff to conform to the shape of the object being mended.
This tape looks like it is heavy plastic with a fiber mesh melded into the plastic when it was soft, with the adhesive added to this after the two had cooled
This tape is for the most part reliable, very durable, however adhesive did not hold up so well outside over the winter months
The tape is stronger and the adhesive is more aggressive.
This junk has a gummy, not permanent adhesive that just "melts" in place
