That said, I found Microsoft Access to be far more confusing for the newbee and much preferred FileMaker.

I have used Access and Filemaker for years and find that Filmmaker is far easier to use, and in the hands of a skilled developer, just as powerful as Access is for complicated database needs

, non database developer I can say Access is easier to use for my purposes.​

I use it for my collections, as well as for my business
