this magnet mount is really easy to set up and looks great with a 3 foot antenna

i would recommend a shorter antenna be used with this mount.

But for temporary installs or in situations where you don't want to be drilling holes in your vehicle, magnetic mounts are useful when used properly

Luckely it did not scratch the automobile

I prefer to use Firestik fiberglass antennas for permanent mount installations, but for magnetic mounts base loaded stainless steel antennas create much less wind resistance and are more flexible, eliminating the "toppling over" issues that people complain about.

Placement in the dead center of both the longitudinal and latitudinal axes will produce the best signal.

The 18 ft. coax should provide enough cable to achieve optimum placement.

scratched the F**K out of the top of my truck, if you drive to fast the antenna falls over and that magnet piece drags along your truck or wherever you have it, causing me to have to get a new paint job on the roof of my truck.
