Cute gift for a child , doesn’t tune so great but that’s okay
If you are looking for a real guitar step up and spend some cash, if you want a cool gift for a child with the idea its only a for a short time, this is GREAT!
He was 7 and it looked like it would be a nice gift ( I didn't open it )
However, it was clear from the moment i started tuning it that this was a plaything and not a real guitar
And as others reported it falls out of tune faster than one would expect.
Updated the review because we found out it also looses tune very fast due to poor materials and construction - allot of flex in neck
By the time you get to the 6th string the first 2 are out of tune and when you spend the time to go back and forth to really get it balanced (all 6 strings in excellent tune) it lasts for 15 minutes and then they go out again
It is hard to tune, but holds it's tune pretty well once it's tuned.
If you are looking for a product for a kid to act like they are playing the guitar, it is fine
Not sure if it had been returned to the company or not but it seemed extremely cheap(which the price is very cheap for a child's guitar, but I had read reviews and expected something not so cheap looking) the strings were really loose and can't seem to get them to tighten
If you're looking for a first guitar that isn't crappy, this one is great.
USE LIGHT GAUGE STRINGSIf you follow the above suggestions you will have many years of enjoyment from this very cool looking guitar.
The fake wood look is pretty good, it fools most people until they touch it.

Considering it is for a child learning to play, it works as intended, and the price is right
I guess for a cheaply priced guitar, that should be expected
For instance, the first fret on the A string was a C instead of an A sharp.
I know you get what you pay for, but this should only be sold be sold in a toy department for a cheaper price
Not the most top quality guitar but good enough for a 5 year old boy who likes to strum around every once and a while
and I can buy a more expensive, higher quality guitar when she gets a little older and better at it.
We considered keeping it as a toy for our 2 year old but it is such poor quality that I don't think we'll even keep it for him
Not great quality for a starter guitar unless the child is under 10yrs old.
I am not going to return it because it's for a 4 year old, but I'm disappointed that while o expected poor wound quality, I did expect it to be in tune once you got the core strings tuned.
