LED strip components and contacts are exposed (there is a note not to power on while rolled up on spool) and can be shorted out very easily as not covered, you can snag on the components as well and they are sharp, I intended to use on a door frame but for above reasons RETURNEDUpdate, seller contacted me and said exposed 12v is safe, I checked code and they are correct
