Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (2nd Gen) USB Audio Interface with Pro Tools | First

    • Worked for about 4 months of occasional use, now it produces a loud crackling noise unless its turned down too low to use
    • My monitors and sub woofer have no hissing noise while being turned on and connected this interface
    • BUT I did run into problems with static/popping/crackling noise
    • sometime randomly would make static noise, lost of audio, and make my voice sound like a robot
    • We suspect this introduced some hiss/noise to a dry-mic interview
    • Static free or white noise free

    • So far so good, seems to have good low noise floor.
    • It works for a few minutes, then the horrible cracking/distortion noise begins
    • It start to get these weird statics noise
    • it constantly makes a scratchy noise in discord and I have to constantly reset it CONSTANTLY
    • Made my computer have a mic sound without a mic I could hear myself and the interface itself made a loud feedback noise.
    • If you're going to buy this thing to use with a desktop, know that if you're unlucky like me, this box, or any similar one may never ever work without terrible noise
    • When it works it's great (low noise, low latency, easy-to-use).However, after about an hour of using the 2i2, the second channel just completely broke
    • I spent all night switching cables and mics and could only isolate the noises on the 2i2
    • When it works it's great (low noise, low latency, easy-to-use).However, after about an hour of using the 2i2, the second channel just completely broke
    • I tried several other USB interfaces, and every one of them either could not provide a high enough volume, or if they did, there was a lot of hiss noise
    • Small, smooth knobs for I/O volumes, crisp and clear sound, good choice.
    • Totally clean and quiet I/O. Plus, I love the look of the box
