Comparing this with a similarly priced 400-watt unit I've had for a few years, it has slightly less capcity (1 cup vs 2), and the smoke produced is a bit thinner per cycle and does not go as far, but the cycles are about 4-6 times more rapid, resulting in a much more even layer of fog but about the same volume per unit of time.

If you lift your finger in the middle, it may or may not continue if you press it again, or you may have to wait for another warm up cycle.

This fog machine does take 2-3 minutes to warm up initially, and after using fog for about 30 seconds it will have to warm up again

I bought this fog machine as kind of a joke,but after using it,I am really impressed.this thing is a lot of fun and really puts out the fog.my kids love it,they like me to put it by the pool.my advice is to buy one of these,it does not cost much for what it does.

It's a good fog machine at a good price

The price is very reasonable for the quality of the product.

I estimate that the machine will produce fog for about 25 minutes with continued use (including the cool down periods).

This works well for me as I prefer producing fog in this manner versus long duration of dense streams followed by equally long cool down periods.

The convenience of having a remote built in is really hard to beat, and unlike other foggers, it's noise level doesn't make it the object of attention - in a bad way.
