Other than those minor things, it is a suitable replacement.
I bought this as a replacement for my current keyless remote only because the little bit of plastic that attaches to my key ring broke off.
so it seems like the replacement should last more than a month.
I just assumed replacements would be expensive so I never bothered

The remote was quite easy to sync with my truck and worked as it is suppose to work like the one I had with truck I bought.

The unit has good range, I can lock/unlock the truck from inside the house
Range is not an issue at all.
that it works pretty well, range is not very long, maybe 15-20ft.
This connected to my F-250 quickly, has great range and a perfect price.
The range is terrible on this, It should work at 20+ feet away not 6 inches from the driver's window.

I did have to print out the online instructions in order to correctly execute the training sequence for the remote in the car, but it did work, the first time
I might get another just to have a spare, AutoZone has replacement FOBs for $40-$120 don't waste your time
