Turns out one of the best decisions i made was when i was at Best Buy and saw the price of the Bose speaker and decided that if i was going to spend that kind of money, I was going to do a lot of research instead of just plunking down $250 and taking the name i know
I looked at these at Best Buy and was more impressed with this sound than similar portable speakers, including Bose.
I spent many hours of research looking for a good bluetooth speaker o finally settle on this one, which I purchased from Best Buy
I waited for the XL to come out since I wanted something larger and louder and so far, this is the best thing I have bought from Amazon ever
I got it when it was $100 off, so it was a great buy for me.

Try to take advantage of the bundle that offers the speaker + a powerbank + cables for $250, at that price you will feel you are getting good value for your money, I think I over payed a little buying it for 300$ the speaker alone.
It worked as it should and did everything it was supposed to do
I use it in the shower, as well as bringing it on road trips, and camping

Lastly for those of you familiar with the JamBox of yore the cool feature of changing the voice (along with any firmware updates for that matter) is no longer supported
The waterproof feature is nice for changing the volume or playing/pausing from the bathtub or while washing dishes.
Additionally, the voice prompts are extremely nice/helpful; when you power it off, it tells you how much battery you have left (a nice feature)

Don’t buy the others... this has a great range, sound, and durable
You would think a speaker with 8 speakers would have great mid range.
It has good mid range sound, however the highs are nonexistent

Very durable good battery life, unless you use it as a charger
It was also missing 2 of the rubber "feet" and the battery was drained
The battery is a monster, using it a bit everyday can last weeks, you may forget that you need to charge it

If a company makes a product that you don't hesitate to replace when something goes wrong, then I must say that it is a very good product.
I would think a company who claims to have such a durable product would insure it for longer.

The Xtreme has some pretty hefty bass boost at 75Hz, which is similar to many larger boomboxes like the Aiwa Exos-9 or the Klipsch KMC-3, at medium levels all these manage to sound quite comparable, it is just that the Xtreme has hardly any response below 70Hz anymore, the boost is there and it gives the impression of a really huge speaker, but it simply misses the lowest 2 octaves
This little guy stays charged for a long time and has great loud sound and bass
A lot of other speakers out there have decent bass, but a lot of the time it's more of a muddy, thumpy, and overpowering bass
Bass is not as loud as the EUBoom, but it has a nice warm bass sound
Nice deep bass, not much on high, sound better with jacket off

The Fugoo was clear the winner for the openness of the sound.

Additional cons about this speaker include not buying able purchase different XL jackets, cannot stereo pairing, and the removable jacket at least the style jacket) muffles the highs and makes rattling/buzzing noise separate from the distortion.
First, when wired, and volume up, the speaker makes annoying background noise
But the waterproof Jacket is poorly designed that actively interferes with listening pleasure by making vibrating noise at louder volumes
Good thing is the hiss/white noise it had prior is significantly less

It's not so loud that your ears would hurt or that it would disturb other people (while the speaker's inside), it's the perfect volume
