I previously tried the Panasonic G85 (poor autofocus in video and expensive lenses), the Sony A6300 (confusing menus, slow operation, and few quality lenses), and the Canon M5 (poor image quality and lens selection) and did ultimately did not like the cameras
This small camera has already impressed me, really good image quality, fast focus, and a really good iso performance
It's a point and shoot, so no interchangeable lenses, but more advanced and with better image quality than other P&S, without the overwhelming features and menus of a camera like this.3
All said, it's soured me a bit on the experience and will make this camera VERY COSTLY, almost as much as
The senor in this thing is a beast, I believe it has better image quality than the a6300 for still images and it has nice video capabilities as well
The price is awesome, but I don't feel like I'm sacrificing quality and functionality for a good price.
The Zeiss for it's price is weak and Fuji 18-55 2.8-4.0 for 300$ (because everybody buys it as a kit) is far superior to it
Get this camera if you want the image quality of Fuji's flagships for a significant price reduction.
I'm a "regular" person who enjoys great photos (as opposed to a pro who gives an in-depth, no-holds-barred review) and did my regular research into the mirror less cameras available at a reasonable price
Almost every lens made for this system is top notch in terms of sharpness and build quality, and the prices are reasonable too
I recently used it on a trip with the 18-55m and 50-140m lenses, and while the image quality was ultimately only marginally better than my older Canon t4i, I actually preferred shooting with the Canon.
However, if you want a tool that can produce something a bit more than just a decent shot, then this is the camera you want.
It's so fast, and intuitive I very rarely missed a shot
you need fast fast fast AF speed and effortless shooting and very good IQ, then the Pany is the one, but the IQ is not quite the all around perfection you find with the Canon M5 or with
My regular shots on auto, have been mostly just as good as shooting on manual on my old 5D II.
so I decided it was time to return to an ILC to get the benefits of a larger sensor and better lens
Oh, and I have the 60mm pseudo macro, which is actually quite a good lens though noisy and sometimes slow to focus.
Even if you don't care about cost and get a nice Fuji lens lineup you'll by all means be able to make some great images, but full frame still offers more in most situations - I find the retro controls to be a slight negative
Again, on par with what I can get with a great prime lens
Oh, and I have the 60mm pseudo macro, which is actually quite a good lens though noisy and sometimes slow to focus.
but I always had this creeping disappointment that these great events in my life were being recorded in very poor quality that already looked unsharp and dated
I love the small size and image quality, although it is easy to over sharpen in camera raw.
This small camera has already impressed me, really good image quality, fast focus, and a really good iso performance
Amazing quality camera, both in build quality and picture quality
I bought this camera as a potential supplement or replacement for my Canon 5D Mark ii and assortment of expensive and high-quality lenses
I'm giving it three stars just because if you remove that component completely, it's a great camera, lots of other redeeming factors
lots of features available, build quality is good and touch screen is really handy for focusing
and I would miss a lot of shots, in addition to that lenses were pretty expensive and
Exceptional camera, my wife loves it, lots of functions and takes very good pictures
I spent a lot of time deciding between the X-T2 and X-T20, and as much I'd love the weatherproofing and slightly bigger body, I decided to with the more inexpensive model
My biggest complaint with this camera is the lack of grip
- Build quality feels in-line with other enthusiast cameras (Nikon D7200 or Canon 80D), which is noticeably better than consumer models like the T7i or SL2, although the lack of weather sealing is a disappointment
All said, it's soured me a bit on the experience and will make this camera VERY COSTLY, almost as much as
I'm keeping 4 star rating because of the slightly inferior build quality and lack of weather sealing.
And I don't like the lack of a true rubber eyecup or a replaceable eyecup as the X-
