The glue it tells you to use is also a joke

I can absolutely understand why people who put this together themselves would recommend wood glue, it is wobbly as all heck when putting it together, so I recommend having 2 people

I reinforced all the joints with some strong wood glue and that has got it a bit more stable for what I planned to use this for.

Decent quality, you should use glue and additional nails to secure the back

It is a great shelf for it's price, especially since it includes the 3 fabric baskets.

Luckily I have a collection of random supplies from past IKEA purchases, so was able to get it built, though where the dowels were broken off the shelf is just sitting on the board and not connected to it

The stupid thing came with two top pieces, so one part couldnt even be put on, the rest broke while being assembled- two screws pulled out and broke a shelf and even a freaking wooden down broke one of the center supports while i was putting the middle shelf in

Bought this for my 4 yr old grandson to store all his super hereos, matchbox cars, etc...its a sturdy shelf that comes with 3 of the compartment drawers

Cheaply-made materials that easily breaks, ridiculous set of wooden pegs that are supposed to hold it together, and awkwardly-sized dimensions (9.75x9.75x11) that don't fit any kind of additional fabric drawers

The pre-drilled screw holes are not too accurate, and one was the wrong size so the screw would not tighten down to hold the two pieces together.

yes it's ugly and cheap looking, but we can tell all of this from the reviews, so it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.that being said, it completely adequately serves its function in my office holding some power tools, sand paper, acrylic scraps, and other gross things that i don't want touching expensive furniture

Assembly was easy but the wood cracked a little when we drilled the screws in so becareful with that

I have it as 4 stars because the manufacturer could have done more quality checks to make sure no pieces were broken, however if you have some wood glue handy and dont mind a little character to your furniture then its a great addition and really useful.

Hold alot of toys, as I purchased addition totes and my son loves the fact he can now get at any toy he wants.

The addition of bins is awesome-adds a little character while also being very useful!

There were missing pieces, broken pieces, and no labeling at all to tell you which pieces were which to put together.

The bottom piece was cracked upon arrival but it's hidden.

The material kept busting from the dowels - literally, the chunks of it kept falling out; the whole thing was falling apart during assembly

One star might not be a fair judgement, during assemble it fell over a broke into pieces, I should have went with solid wood.

Several parts of the veneer chipped off during a very careful installation and had to use the stickers provided to cover the screw caps to cover up the very bright particle wood underneath

The few recommendations I would give are:1) Do not use power tools, they're way to hard core for this product... the material of this bookshelf is not strong enough to handle that kind of speed and force you will rip right through it

Veneer had scratches and the pressboard had chips in several places, one of the three back panels was a mis-match, and the instructions were a joke

I opened and began assembling the first one, the holes were not drilled properly and the screws went through the cheap plywood veneer

My husband tried putting it together and got so frustrated after one of the screws, then 2 of the screws, then 3 of the screws cracked the veneer on the top.

My second order I was sent this product and the veneer is warped and chipped, the cut is slightly curved...remembering my last experience, I'm just going to write off this loss and not order from this company again
