The filter helps kill seemingly ubiquitous 60 cycle hum (and the classic rock FM station interference my Fender Rhodes piano likes to pick up and amplify), and is especially helpful when playing club gigs in bars with flashing neon signs, dirty power, etc.

Get a few of these and daisy chain them together and voila, plenty of conditioned power without worrying about a ground loop (ground loops introduce hum into your system)

This got rid of ground loop noise that was being transferred from my desktop Mac to my studio monitors

I had tried the Hum DeBugger from ElectroHarmonix, the Ebtech Hum X Ground Loop Eliminator, new cables, old cables, etc to no avail.

The advertised "EMI/RFI Noise attenuation" doesn't seem to be doing much of anything either
