Understand that Garmin will likely stop providing free updates if you fail to keep the unit updated at least every 24 months.

Works fine, as any Garmin purchased..charge it on your CPU USB or your auto USB first and then go on line to get your free automatic updates.

only thing i didnt like is the lack of storage, when it arrives it needs to install like 15 updates, some of which wont fit with the built in storage.

Ran into a small issue while updating the GPS out of the box - it doesn't necessarily complete the full update if you follow the instructions verbatim, and will continue to show updates available until you turn the unit on to boot completely detached from the computer.

The touchscreen is a great update to my old Nuvi 1450 (had a terrible touchscreen).
