Reviews around screen (5.00 of 5)

  • Upon opening the item it was packaged in the factory package loose to rattle around with nothing protecting the screen.
  • Clear screen that is easy to read.

Reviews around use (5.00 of 5)

  • It does it's job, but the screen is small and the functionality is not good for someone like me who is used to using a touch screen phone
  • Great gps, use for hunting, hiking and now, geocaching.

Reviews around map (3.86 of 5)

  • The contours can be enhanced by selecting "most" or "more" detail and "show if available" under shaded relief in the Advanced Map Setup
  • US map is like 560GB, only the south east part is too big for the built-in memory plus the expandable sd memory card.
  • After trying this one I saw that it had the simplicity I was looking for and clear usage maps and the ability to quickly set a track mode to show where I had been and set way points easily
  • The map is so hard for a beginner to figure out.
  • The attached photos show what the maps actually look like on the screen.

Reviews around way (3.61 of 5)

  • There is no easy way to create a waypoint using a lat/long that you plot from a map.
  • A really poor way to respond to a new customer
  • There is no easy way to GOTO a point, like the old ETREX.
  • When you try to contact customer support you have to look up your unit number , when you buy maps online you have to "associate them with your account" but there is no intuitive way to do that either.

Reviews around device (3.61 of 5)

  • it was a pleasure to use compared to this much more expensive device
  • My 2002 Garmin ETREX was/is a much better device, although without the pretty moving map.
  • This is a good-looking device, and feels good in your hand
  • Pretty solid device
