I shouldn't have to ignore directions given to me by a GPS

I have gotten directions on this GPS that are just crazy - directions that took me either out of the way or onto obscure roads instead of major thoroughfares.

What I hate about Waze and Google Maps is that it tells you about a left/right turn either late or not clear enough for not-so-great direction takers like myself (hey at least I admit to it)

I have been following all directions and registering and connecting for updates has continually failed

but I wish when I miss my turn or ignore the directions it would say "recalculating" like my very first Garmin does.

Product worked well but assembly instructions lacking in precise written directions relying too much on diagrams.

I like the new Garmin, much larger than my old one and the directions are much clearer

It did lead me in wrong directions when I was visiting Boston, it works great in most major cities.

Kind of confusing to start with, but gives excellent directions when you figure out how to use it

The software is a bit clunky, and the maps are much more accurate for interstate and established roads/places, but overall this thing has worked great on multi-state roads trips, and did what I bought it for: kept me on the road, in the right direction

I needed it immediately, so did not have time to go online to look for more understandable directions and ended up getting completely lost on my way from NJ to MA.

I was about to return this GPS for refund but it recently gave accurate directions on two consecutive (shorter) trips

The GPS is very easy to operate and is right on the button as far as directions

there is no bluetooth facility so directions are useless to you

It guided me on unfamiliar roads like a champ, changed route when I changed direction & only lost signal once when I was literally in a long underground tunnel, resumed right back up when the tunnel ended.

Overall, I will still use this unit for all my long trips due to the nice sized map, clear directions, the ability to start a new navigation while driving, and the above mentioned items.

It was always looking for satellite service and when it did connect it directions were incorrect

Had trouble getting direction to a location out oof the New England area a little cumbersum there.

Much to my amazement, when I used the new Garmin for the first time for a new destination, it guided me in a completely wrong direction and it took me 21/2 hours to finally get home for a 33 mile distance

It does give good turning directions and I like the way it gives landmark directions rather than just streets.

The directions are clear and you can alter the volume - I have a Wrangler which is very noisy, so I need the volume up.
