I love the long cord and unit has worked perfectly with my Nuvi.

Unfortunately, while this power cable did work with the Nuvi 2555 LMT it did not solve the "power lost" issue.

Thought I would try the Garmin Nuvi Vehicle Power Cable on my dead Garmin, and the Garmin Nuvi Vehicle Power Cable worked like a charm

so I would not have to drag the charger from one car to the other

It works, but the design is so brittle, I love Garmin products, but I found that it is cheaper and more efficient to just a good USB cable and have a decent charger and the connection between cable and device is sturdier.

When I plug it in, a message comes up letting me know that this cable is not compatible with the "traffic" feature.

FYI: I bought it because a message kept coming up on my Garmin saying that the cable was not correct (for Traffic data).

Too bad the Garmin is not designed to just run on usb.

By the way, this is my third Garmin and with the last one I have, the original charger cable broke at the junction of the attachment and stopped working- poor quality and poor design
