I really like this improved mounting style for my Garmin Varia Radar light

Works as advertised

I highly recommend it as a secure alternative to the rubber band mount included with the Varia RTL510.

Work very well, all attach material for putting on seat post is included.

Previous experience with the product has been good, though I have not used this one yet.simple to install and works well

A BETTER method would be to have a cap nut on the end that pulls the plastic closed, not pulls an insert out from the plastic

Now I don't have to TRY to hold the mount base steady and then having to constantly re-adjust the position of the radar unit after mounting in the base.

The upgrade to the screw clamp ir well worth the piece of mind.

Garmin in their quest for more of your money provide a very sketchy mount for a device that costs a substantial sum of money and which, if it were to become detached would leave you without any taillight but probably out said sum of money (in my case over $150)

I was looking to put my Varia on a second bike without having to move the mount as well

I didn’t want to trust this expensive piece of equipment to rubber band mounts, but when I read reviews of this hard mount, some claimed it did not fit a 31.5mm or larger seat post, which was a concern

The elastic band one requires you to hold the mount when twisting on your Garmin device.
