The first ones either stopped running or lost their control panel, the last one we kept way too long as we ignored paint flaked off throughout it, falling on food and likely unsafe

I (along with many other irate owners) have found that after about 2 years, the white interior paint on the ceiling of these GE microwaves starts peeling off....and falling into the family food

Pretty disappointed, never figured that paint would be the issue on a microwave.

Their website claims the paint is non-toxic, and therefore "ingestion of small amounts of the peeling coating [i.e. paint] does not create a health risk

Spent the extra $200 for the space save model and ignored bad reviews regarding paint peeling, etc

The first one lasted about two years--the interior paint flaked off and the interior rusted.

This paint then flakes off and into food or onto food covers!!!

This is to replace an older under cabinet GE microwave that had interior failing paint

Works as it should, if hang under cabinet just buy 4 screws from hardware store.
