I use it for multiple laptops and its never failed nice picture
; I've only tried web browsing and PS4 games so far but the monitor displays an an awesome 1080p picture with a clean refresh rate
Plug and Play exactly as advertised, and the picture looks great
Great picture quality, very light, easy to connect up, great touchscreen
So the only reason I returned the monitor was because I meant to order the touch screen version, other than that it is a great monitor with a decent picture.
* Great form-factor / right size for my purpose* Good looking screen
I wanted something the right size to feel portable and easy to connect with without drivers that can go out of date and requiring too many different cables
I think the size is just right, 1080p looks great especially when its portable lol
Extremely low power by USB, very compact size for tiny house
Makes her iPhone into a full computer with good size display much easier to read as well as normally her regular portable pocket cellphone!
First, it is light weight and has a well designed protective case that doubles as a stand.
The thing I like best about it is the well-designed case that it comes in.
With the multi touch drivers installed on my Mac Pro, I can use it for different CAD views, datasheets or other reference material while designing electronics using an EDA or a touch based mixer while working on my next DJ set in a DAW
This was designed so well that I don't think I will need to buy a hardcase for when I put it in my laptop bag
The best design is obvious: A clamshell, similar to a laptop that opens and folds underneath the monitor during use…and most importantly is infinitely adjustable
To end on some nicer sides, the ports are fine and the changing monitor settings is about equivalently difficult to normal monitors, but it's not really a great product.
It's a wonderful product, has a good price, easy to use, and is very useful for me
, this is a great product that is far superior to other options
I will not recommend this product since it does even come with a stand you have to buy separately
I saw my friend using this and he recommended this product
This portable monitor has great resolution and the colours are true
I have two AOC portable USB monitors and always hated the 1366x768 display resolution and washed out colors
Even though the resolution was nice, the image quality was poor, and I quickly learned that you can't adjust color profiles at all on a DisplayLink monitor
If you're working on anything text-related, to fit 1080p resolution and also not strain the eyes, you need pixel packing (i.e. Apple's 'retina' display tech)
If you need full 1080p at an excellent resolution, I would definitely recommend this monitor.
The USB on the developments board won't give out enough power
Probably not enough power out from the raspberry pi usb
The user manual recommends running it off 2 USB ports but that's probably for a more stable power usage
For gift for extremely low-income and very non-tech friend moving to Hawaii where she will have only small solar power (off-grid no expensive public power,) and for internet only her iPhone G4 (can't afford cable or DSL.
One sub slot is all that is needed for power source and touch support.
It comes with a nicely designed metal case cover that protects the screen extremely well and has a rubber magnetic stand to prop the monitor up like a laptop on the table
Great setup, the case that protects the screen double as the
The second thing I like is the case has a small hole drilled at the top center, so that you could hang or secure it from above.
The monitor comes face-down in a protective case, which is perfect for stuffing into your backpack.
Only potential downsides are that the screen has some glare issues, and if you want to use a DisplayPort connection, you need to buy a proprietary cable or figure out some way to convert Micro-HDMI to DisplayPort.
While all the connections are a proprietary format into the monitor and special cables are required - the cables themselves aren't terribly expensive
Lastly, the HDMI and USB cables can get messy because the cables can be too long if you just need the monitor to sit next to your laptop
Four stars for using a non-standard, 'proprietary' HDMI cable (which are ~$20 to replace if out of warranty) with questionable quality
Especially given the difficulty of finding right angled cables with the desired facing
